Mounds View Public Schools (District 621) is a Minnesota school district serving the cities of Arden Hills, Mounds View, New Brighton, North Oaks, Roseville, Shoreview, Vadnais Heights and portions of Spring Lake Park and White Bear Township. The district currently operates 13 schools and a handful of other educational programs.
A part of the Mounds View Public Schools district, the high school is located in a suburban area approximately nine miles north of downtown Minneapolis and Saint Paul and includes seven cities with 76,193 residents. As of 2014–15 the school had an enrollment of 1735, with a student/teacher ratio of 21.81.

Calvin Academy, a private school for children with behavioral disabilities, [19] [20] relocated to the area in 1999. The school was no longer in operation by the end of 2005. [21] Since the 2014-2015 school year, the Mounds View Public Schools Area Learning Center has operated from the former location of Calvin Academy. [22]
