Anitha Karthikeyan was born in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. She began her school education at the Saraswathi Vidyalaya School, Chennai. [4] Simultaneously, she learned western music lessons and Hindustani classical music. She continued her higher education at Ethiraj College for Women, Chennai where she completed her BSc in computer science in 2003.
Bhavatharini Raja made her debut as a playback singer for My Dear Kuttichathan.From then onwards, she mostly sang on albums composed by her father and brothers. In 2001, she won the National Award for the song "Mayil Pola Ponnu Onnu" in the movie Bharathi (the music director was her father).
Harini (born 30 April 1979) is an Indian film playback and classical singer born and raised in Chennai. [1] She sings predominantly in Tamil films, besides other language films such as Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi films. She was first noticed by music director A. R. Rahman at a school competition where she was one among the winners. [2]
Pann, which is the classical music form of Southern India, has a long history in Tamil Nadu. Later the name was mistakenly changed as Carnatic music. Even today Pannisai is sung in temple festivals. Tamil Nadu has produced a number of famous performers, as well as a closely related classical dance form Bharatha Natyam.
