Its population was 3,660 in the 2020 census, up from 3,605 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Panama City—Panama City Beach, Florida Metropolitan Statistical Area. The district is on South 3rd Street between Jackson Avenue (Highway 90) and South Boulevard. It contains 13 historic buildings, many of which are of the Queen Anne Victorian style.
It is a historic site in Chipley, Florida at 672 Fifth Street. It is on the same block as the historic Woman's Club of Chipley. On March 30, 2005, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.
