When it comes to numbers like that you should absolutely max the happiness of vendors that you're likely to spend tens of plat coins on even at the 5% cost of another npc's wares that you might spend a couple plat on once if you decide to be ambitious and set up something like left to right teleporters across the world spanning across your ...
Terraria 1.4.1 NPC Happiness Infographic - Click to Enlarge. This is meant to be a quick reference and starter guide. I didn't want to bloat the image with text so I am leaving this comment to cover some of the happiness mechanics. - Happiness bonuses and penalties are multiplicative and at odd values.
May 19, 2020. #4. YourLocalTerrarian said: It increases if there’s over 3 in a 25 block radius, that’s insanely close. Yes, it increases. But you said "prices skyrocket", and that's untrue. 3 NPCs in an area merely cancels out their happiness bonus. Before, their prices were at 90% of normal; after, they're at 100%.
It removes NPC happiness, instead opting for a slider you can use to adjust the happiness levels. These levels don't change, nor do they differ between NPCs. I'll eventually switch the current Enum slider out with a float one, 'dunno when though. An option to make pylons always available is also on my to-do list. This mod is built for the beta ...
Terraria has needed a fast traveling system for a long time so that medium and large worlds are more playable. My main problem with NPC happiness is that it's overly convoluted. They should've just stopped at biome preferences and spacing. How other NPCs affect happiness means you basically need a giant graph to get optimal town setups and prices.
I hate the overcrowding mechanic. You're supposed to be building a "town," but you get punished for having more than three people. Some town. The whole system just seems antithetical to the sandbox nature of the game. NPC towns and happiness is a good idea in theory, but it's poorly executed here if you ask me. 11.
The Dryad -also needs flowerpots. The clothier -also needs a dresser. The guide -also needs a terratoilet. The tavernkeep - also needs a keg AND a glass mug. The tax collector -also needs a fireplace AND a grandfather clock. And / or NPC's have a list of furniture sets they like (need) and dislike. etc. etc.
LostnFound72. Here's a Spreadsheet for NPC Happiness. Hello all, I had been looking for an NPC happiness chart as a spreadsheet since about when 1.4 released, but all the guides I saw were either how to arrange your NPCs with no explanation, or visual charts with way too many arrows to be clear enough. So after an hour or two of work, I made ...
Nothing is impossible in this action-packed adventure game. The world is your canvas and the ground itself is your paint. The Real Reason NPC Happiness was Implemented. Pylons are honestly a timesaver compared to the old mega-apartments. Because individual houses are now smaller, your NPCs are basically right next to the pylons, compared to ...
You want all other NPCs to be as happy as possible. Here is the default output of the tool, sorted by biome: Steampunker : Desert = 77% near Stylist Cyborg.
