Patty Wagstaff broke the law and behaved badly during her encounter with the OSH security (which can be mitigated somewhat by their attitudes) and continued to behave badly after more professional law enforcement arrived (for which I've seen no mitigation). Patty deserves her OUI conviction.

50,000 Americans die each year from auto crashes. The one thing that has affected that number the most is the price of gas. Low price of fuel = more deaths, high price of fuel = fewer deaths. Seems to me if everyone is worried about saving lives slap a $1.00 a gallon tax on fuel.

Celebrity changes things though. Patty Wagstaff didn't have to walk or take the bus like I did. I bet she wasn't sleeping in her tent the way I was. She got special treatment throughout because of her celebrity status, and rightly so. Having celebrities at an event draws others. However, celebrity has a downside.
