Daemon is the sixth full-length studio album by Norwegian black metal band Mayhem. [ 1 ] [ 2 ] [ 3 ] Their major label debut, it was released by Century Media Records on 25 October 2019 in digital formats while a manufacturing problem delayed the physical release until 8 November 2019.
He is the band's only remaining original member, [1] as Messiah and Manheim left Mayhem, respectively, in 1986 and 1988, and Euronymous was murdered in 1993. He has also played in other bands, including L.E.G.O., Kvikksølvguttene, Bloodthorn (guest artist), [ 2 ] and Checker Patrol.
In late 1995, Mayhem was reformed with a lineup including Hellhammer, former members Maniac (vocals) and Necrobutcher (bass), and new guitarist Rune "Blasphemer" Eriksen. [9] This incarnation remained intact for almost nine years, issuing the group's second and third full-length studio albums, Grand Declaration of War and Chimera. [12]
Jan Axel Blomberg (born 2 August 1969), better known by his stage name Hellhammer, [1] is a Norwegian drummer renowned for his role as the drummer of the black metal band Mayhem, which he joined in 1988.
