Pnina Salzman (Hebrew: פנינה זלצמן) (February 24, 1922, Tel Aviv, Mandate Palestine – December 16, 2006, Tel Aviv, Israel) was an Israeli classical pianist and piano pedagogue. Salzman showed an early aptitude for the piano, and gave her first recital at the age of eight.
The Israel piano trio was founded in Israel in 1972 by Alexander Volkov (piano), Menahem Breuer (violin), and Zvi Harell (cello). [1] [2] Zvi Harell was later replaced with Marcel Bergman, [1] [3] and later by Hillel Zori. [4] After the death of Alexander Volkov in 2006, [5] [6] the pianist Tomer Lev joined the trio.
