Issyk-Kul (Kyrgyz: Ысык-Көл облусу, Ysyk-Köl oblusu [ɯsɯχˈcʰɵʎ ˌɔbɫʊˈsʊ]) is one of the regions of Kyrgyzstan.Its capital is Karakol.It is surrounded by Almaty Region, Kazakhstan to the north, Chüy Region to the west, Naryn Region to the southwest, and Xinjiang, China to the southeast.

Annual precipitation averages 300–400 mm from April to October, and 100–150 mm from November to March. Snow cover in the lake basin persists for 180 to 200 days a year.
