Mustang. Friday, January 18, 2002 5:25 PM. There is something about Space Mountain WDW that has always stuck in my mind. Aside from being a really fun ride, The mountain itself is the third highest point in Florida. Being from Colorado, I find that really funny, and at the same time kind of sad.

The three Vekoma coasters with SOBATs (Space Mountain Paris & both Rock 'n' Rollercoasters) run very effectively with virtually no audio problems. It is the non-Vekomas that have problems like California SCREAMIN'(Intamin) and the old Space Mountain (WDI).

Officials at Oriental Land Co., which operates Tokyo Disneyland, said that the Space Mountain roller coaster derailed about 10 meters from its final destination shortly after 10 a.m. Friday. No injuries or damage to the ride were reported.
From what I know of the ride, I don't buy this at all, especially given the two floors. You could see the layout in various construction photos. There are a pair of elevators up, and a pair down. Ok, well I have been on the ride. So tell us what you think after you ride it.
