The current manifestation is random horizontal lines, usually one or two pixels tall (consisting of what appear to be random colors for each pixel in the line). Sometimes the lines are thicker (maybe 10 pixels tall). They come and go, sometimes just on the background canvas, and sometimes across application windows as well.
