During January 2016, Joe Bonamassa completed a short acoustic tour in the United States, including regular band members Anton Fig (drums) and Reese Wynans (piano), alongside Chinese-American cellist and erhuist Tina Guo, American mandolin and banjo player Eric Bazilian, Egyptian percussionist Hossam Ramzy, and Australian backing vocalists Mahalia Barnes, Juanita Tippins and Gary Pinto.
Bonamassa was born in New Hartford, New York, and grew up in Utica, New York. [11] [12] He is of Italian descent. [13]He started playing guitar at age four, encouraged by his father, who was an avid music fan and exposed him to British blues rock records by Eric Clapton and Jeff Beck, greatly inspiring him.
