Is it really the case that DisplayPort and Mini Display port are not compatibile? There is a (as of Feb 14, 2009) uncited statement indicating that you can't connect the two together. If that is the case, then DisplayPort and Mini-Display port are unrelated to each other, as far as I'm concerned, and it's unclear why they even have the same name.
