In Burmese, the name of Guanyin is Kwan Yin Medaw, literally meaning Mother Kwan Yin (Goddess Guanyin) (ကွမ်ယင်မယ်တော်). In Indonesian, the name is Kwan Im or Dewi Kwan Im.
