Like you had done some changes in registry, than call task manager by pressing CTRl+Alt+Del. Find the Explorer and Click on End Task. If shut down screen come - - > Click Cancel. If your custom cursor file is located inside any folder under your profile, Windows rewrites its path using %UserProfile% variable. It seems that this is the offending part. There's however a workaround: If you enable mouse pointer trails, the corruption will go away. In your Windows 7 go to Control Panel -> Mouse -> Pointer Options Tab. Enable Pointer Trails. If you don't like the effect, move the slider all the way to the left. This will make the trailing effect all but disappear.
