Jasmine You (March 8, 1979 [citation needed] – August 9, 2009) was a Japanese musician, best known as original bassist of the symphonic power metal band Versailles.Jasmine You, then known as Yuu, entered the visual kei music scene in 1998 after joining Jakura, who managed to become somewhat successful before disbanding in 2003. On July 20, 2012, Versailles announced they were stopping all activities at the end of the year. On April 1, 2013, every member of Versailles minus singer Kamijo announced they had formed a new band named Jupiter. [9] [10] They recruited Zin as vocalist and released their debut single, "Blessing of the Future", in the summer. [9] [10]
Jubilee (full title Jubilee -Method of Inheritance-) is the major label debut album by Versailles, but is actually their second full-length release.Released on January 20, 2010, [1] it's their last to feature all five original members, due to Jasmine You's death while recording it, bass parts are provided by both Jasmine You and Hizaki.
"Ascendead Master" is the fourth single by Versailles, but their first single on a major label. Released on June 24, 2009, this is also the band's last single to feature original bassist Jasmine You. Both "Ascendead Master" and "Gekkakou" were "remastered" for their first major album Jubilee.
At Node of Scherzo's first live performance on 14 March, Kamijo and Hizaki announced they were forming a band together. On 30 March, the details of the band were announced, it would be named Versailles and also included drummer Yuki (Sugar Trip) and Hizaki Grace Project's Jasmine You and Teru. [7]
