Lynn Forester, Lady de Rothschild (born July 2, 1954) [1] is an American-British businesswoman who is the chair of E.L. Rothschild, a holding company she owns (previously together with her third husband, Sir Evelyn Robert de Rothschild, a member of the Rothschild family, until his death).
Although Rhododendrons had been known since the description of Rhododendron hirsutum by Charles de l'Écluse (Clusius) in the sixteenth century, and were known to classical writers (Magor 1990), and referred to as Chamaerhododendron (low-growing rose tree), the genus was first formally described by Linnaeus in his Species Plantarum in 1753.
Evelyn de Rothschild was born on 29 August 1931, [1] to a Jewish family. [2] The son of Anthony Gustav de Rothschild (1887–1961) and Yvonne Lydia Louise Cahen d'Anvers (1899–1977), he was named after his uncle Evelyn Achille de Rothschild who was killed in action in World War I.
