The US Universities Debating Championship (USUDC) is the largest British Parliamentary debating tournament in the United States, and one of the largest debate tournaments in the world. The event is held for college and university students attending school in the United States, and is hosted by a different university each year.

No team has ever repeated as the top team at the championship. Five individuals have won the top team award twice. Most recently, Matthew Song won in 2022 and 2024, representing Yale University. Matthew Wansley of Yale University won back-to-back championships from 2005 to 2007.
In 2024, the British Parliamentary National Championship was renamed to the Canadian Universities Debating Championship (CUDC). The inaugural CUDC, organized by the University of Waterloo , brought together 61 teams from 16 universities across 7 provinces, exceeding pre-pandemic participation levels.

Tournament of Champions is a national high school debate tournament held at the University of Kentucky every year in late April. To qualify, debaters need at least two bids or automatically qualify by placing high enough at last year's Tournament of Champions. [1]

The first Worlds was hosted by Reading Blue Coat School in Reading , England and continued to be hosted in England until 1995.
