Ruth Wilson (born 13 January 1982) [1] is an English actress. She has played the eponymous protagonist in Jane Eyre (2006), Alice Morgan in the BBC psychological crime drama Luther (2010–2013, 2019), [ 2 ] Alison Lockhart in the Showtime drama The Affair (2014–2018), and the eponymous character in Mrs Wilson (2018).
When Ruth was three years old and her sister, Jenny, a few months old, Nesta killed herself on 10 December 1982.
