The State Literary Award is a set of annual literary prizes by the Government of Sri Lanka under several categories. The awards cover fiction, poetry, translations, songs and cover designs. Works from Sinhala, Tamil and English language are reviewed. [1]
In 2016, the ibrary was fully automated with Koha FOSS Library Management Library System with the advice of the Open University of Sri Lanka. In 2017, the Digital Libraries Project was launched at the library by the Information Communication Technology Agency of Sri Lanka (ICTA) in collaboration with National Library and Documentation Services Board.
