Mathias Loras (August 30, 1792 – February 19, 1858) was a French Catholic priest and slave owner in the United States who served as the first Bishop of Dubuque, in what would become the state of Iowa.

Dunn was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Dubuque on January 11, 1948, by Auxiliary Bishop Edward Fitzgerald at St. Raphael’s Cathedral. He served as the associate pastor at St. Cecilia Parish in Ames from 1948–1950, St. Martin Parish in Cascade from 1950 to 1952, and at Nativity Parish in Dubuque from 1952 to 1955.
The current State Champion is the winner of the spring tournament that has been held since 1995 and was divided into 2 classes in 1998 and 3 classes starting in 2011. From 1994 to 2000, there was also a fall State Championship tournament that crowned a single champion. Winners of both tournaments are considered State Champions.
