NSYNC (/ ɛ n ˈ s ɪ ŋ k, ɪ n-/ en-SINK, in-; also stylized as *NSYNC or ' N Sync) [1] was an American vocal group and boy band that was formed by Chris Kirkpatrick in Orlando, Florida, in 1995 [2] [3] and launched in Germany by BMG Ariola Munich. [4] The group consists of Kirkpatrick, Justin Timberlake, Joey Fatone, Lance Bass, and JC Chasez.
NSYNC's last official performance was at the 2003 Grammys during their Bee Gees medley tribute, however, the band briefly came together to perform at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards during Timberlake's Video Vanguard Award performance. While a member of NSYNC, Fatone co-starred with bandmate Bass in the 2001 romantic comedy film On the Line and guest-starred with the band on The Simpsons episode, "New Kids on the Blecch". On August 25, 2013, NSYNC regrouped for a one-off performance at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards. [6]
