Singing school conducted at Jacksonville as part of six-day Extension school in August, 1915. Singing schools underwent many changes as cities grew and the population moved away from an agrarian lifestyle. One of the most notable changes was the length of schools; at one time it was common for schools to last four weeks.

Originally established in 1956 as the Vietnam School of Music (Trường Âm nhạc Việt Nam) and conferred university status in 1982, the Conservatory is Vietnam’s premier music training, research and performance institute. On 27 February 2008, the Hanoi Conservatory of Music changed its name to the Vietnam National Academy of Music .

At the age of 16, she was the top graduate of Ho Chi Minh Music Institute (same class with My Tam and Pham Thanh Thao).
