In 2014, Nicks re-recorded the song for her album 24 Karat Gold: Songs from the Vault. The song is rumoured to be about Lindsey Buckingham , who she considers to be the love of her life. [ 2 ] Despite breaking up in 1977 Nicks has admitted she never stopped loving Buckingham [ 3 ] and this song is about that element of not being able to move on.
