AFAIK, Windows 10 doesn't have a built-in feature to display a clock widget in the desktop. I use an app, BeWidgets (I'm not advertising, I'm suggesting the app because it's my personal favorite) for this. It apparently used to eat up system resources. It may or may not have been fixed though.

The old widgets like the analogue clock on the Windows Desktop were removed, because there was a security flaw in them, currently there is no clock widget for Windows11, all of them have a window, but the good news is Microsoft are bringing back the Desktop widgets functionality in Windows 11 that existed in previous versions of Windows ...

Hi, When the Calendar pop-up doesn't show up when clicking the clock, it needs resetting. To do that, type Control Panel in Cortana search and press Enter. Click Region > Click Additional Settings under the Formats tab > Click the Date tab and select Reset. Confirm the reset. If it persists, type Taskbar settings in Cortana search and press Enter.
