Hi, my keyboard is not responding when I boot my laptop. After I switch on and off windows virtual keyboard once my keyboard starts working properly. Also the left shift key is not working properly. Please give a solution for my problem.
1-I tried every keyboard on another old computer and they were all fine. 2-I tried another PS/2 Keyboard on my new PCs and it was fine . 3-I tried another USB keyboard on my new PCs and the problem is still there . 4-I tried to connect each keyboard to every USB port in the computers and the problem still exists.
14 Jan 2014 #3. I actually used an external USB keyboard to type my previous reply, the keys do work on the external keyboard, so I guess it could be a hardware problem. I went to Device Manger -> Keyboards -> Standard PS/2 Keyboard and right clicked and selected "Update Driver Software" and it replied it was up to date.
Keyboard Not Working Properly I'm using a MS Comfort Curve Keyboard and for some unexplained reason all of a sudden I cannot use the Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V commands they just will not work. Hi there, I am Having the exact same problem as the OP, with exactly the same keys, Ive tried changing locales and Keyboard languages but still having the same problem, when Keyboard is attached to my Vista laptop I dont have this problem, KB is logitech mx 5500 bluetooth.

I tried to update driver's but the little box on the screen tells me driver's are up to date. I checked Device Manager and it doesn't indicate any problem. I checked Keyboard in Control Panel and it says the device is working properly. If anyone has any suggestion's I would appreciate hearing them, if not I'll learn to live with it. Thanks, David
Hello, Few days ago I started to notice that some of the letters on my laptop keyboard randomly stop working. Sometimes they work and sometimes they won't work at all. These are the keys that stop responding: A,X,C,F,N. Basically I boot my OS and then whenever I try to press on one of those...
By process of elimination, I narrowed it down to three specific keys: "w" "f" and "k" and at times, it will intermittently work. I have already tried a number of suggestions that has not helped. I cleaned the keyboard keys thoroughly and thought that fixed the problem because immediately they started working but not for long.
