St Andrew's and St Bride's High School is a Roman Catholic school in East Kilbride, Scotland. The current head teacher is Barry Quinn. The school opened in 2007, and has a roll of 1,698 pupils. [1] The new buildings are adjacent to St Bride's Roman Catholic church, built in 1964 by Gillespie, Kidd & Coia.
Previously, Roman Catholic pupils who passed the old 11+ exam attended the Senior Secondary at St Michael's in Kilwinning. Those who failed attended St Peter's Junior Secondary in Ardrossan. The 'new' St Andrew's was the old Saltcoats Junior Secondary School, which ceased to exist when the new Auchenharvie Academy opened in Stevenston in 1971.
