The 2023 Ohio State Buckeyes football team represented the Ohio State University as a member of the East Division of the Big Ten Conference during the 2023 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The team was coached by Ryan Day in his fifth season as Ohio State's head coach. The Buckeyes played their home games at Ohio Stadium in Columbus, Ohio.
They did not play in the Big Ten Championship as Penn State took the division. In a controversial call, the College Football Playoff committee gave Ohio State a spot in the Playoff. Ohio State lost in the Fiesta Bowl to the Clemson Tigers in an embarrassing 31–0 loss, ending the season 11–2.
