Goshen High School's school colors are red, white and grey. Before 2016, Goshen High School's mascot was the "Redskins" which featured a mascot wearing a Native American headdress. Beginning January 1, 2016, the school changed their mascot to the "Redhawks".
John S. Burke Catholic High School, referred to locally as Burke Catholic or as Burke Catholic Academy, is an American private, Roman Catholic high school and middle school in Goshen, New York, and is located within the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New York. Goshen Intermediate School (also known as G.I.S.) educates students in grades 3-5 in the Goshen Central School District, covering the eponymous village and town in Orange County, New York, United States. It is located on McNally Street in the village, not far from the other Goshen schools. The building was constructed in 1967.
Goshen is located about 10 miles (16 km) west of Troy, and 10 miles east of Luverne.The earliest record of a public school in Goshen was in the middle 19th century. A small wooden structure made from hand-split logs was located between Goshen and the Troy-Luverne Highway (U.S. Route 29) on a parcel of land called "Goshen Hill".
