Randolph County is a county in the northern portion of the U.S. state of Missouri.As of the 2020 census, the population was 24,716. [1] Its county seat is Huntsville. [2] The county was organized January 22, 1829, and named for U.S. Representative and U.S. Senator John Randolph of Roanoke, Virginia.

Randolph County was created on December 20, 1828, and named after the Virginia planter and politician John Randolph. [3]He was honored originally as the namesake of present-day Jasper County but, because of his opposition to U.S. entry into the War of 1812, the Georgia General Assembly changed the county name on December 10, 1812.
Hall was born in Randolph County, Missouri. He married Ms. Terese Blackburn (1868–1943), daughter of Senator Joseph Clay Stiles Blackburn of Kentucky. They had a daughter who died in childhood, Terese Preble Hall (1894–1899). Both his wife and daughter Terese are buried with him in Section 1 of Arlington National Cemetery.
