I really like Azgaar's. Takes a bit of learning to use, but very customizable and aesthetic. You can make great continent maps, or zoom in for province scale maps.
For those who haven't seen BattleMapp.io yet, I've been putting together a map-maker that (mostly!) works in the browser. It's 3D and includes lots of models and effects. The latest update includes 32 dungeon rooms, some spell AOE shapes and minor bug fixes.

It's versatility is mind-boggling, and there are so many user-created resources to add and use. It can be a really fun experience. However, it wasn't made specifically for DnD, so everything has to be setup to work correctly. Also, the UI is a bit clunky for someone just wanting to navigate a city or around a battle map.

As the title states, I’m looking for recommendations for a decent map-making app for use on my iPad Pro. Right now I’m primarily looking for an app specifically for creating hex maps, but I’d be open to a dungeon map maker as well.
Azgaar's Fantasy Map Maker is the best for making a world map right now. It is free, approachable, and you can let it be as simple or as complicated as you want it to be.
