Miami Shores [4] or Miami Shores Village [5] is a village in Miami-Dade County, Florida. The village is part of the Miami metropolitan area of South Florida . As of the 2020 census , the population was 11,567, [ 2 ] up from 10,493 in 2010.

The school included nine portable structures built on the corner of NW 115th Street and NW 2nd Avenue, and served as an alternative to Horace Mann Middle School for Miami Shores residents. Upon gaining further funding in 2005, the school was renamed Doctors Charter School of Miami Shores.
Due to the reputation of the school, Miami-Dade County Public Schools began "franchising" MAST. In 2010, MAST Medical @ Homestead was established. [ 10 ] In 2011, José Martí Middle School introduced its magnet program with a high school expansion in 2011, before completely re-branding itself as José Martí MAST 6-12 Academy in 2013. [ 11 ]

Eastern Shores is within the Miami-Dade County Public Schools system. Students attend Norman S. Edelcup/Sunny Isles Beach K-8 in Sunny Isles Beach for elementary and K-8. [4] Residents who want a standard comprehensive middle school instead of a K-8 enroll at a separate middle school, [4] Highland Oaks Middle School. [5]
The first definitive split over slavery occurred within the New School Presbyterian Church. In 1858, Southern synods and presbyteries belonging to the New School withdrew and established the pro-slavery United Synod of the Presbyterian Church. [55] Old School Presbyterians followed in 1861 after the start of hostilities in the American Civil War.
