Hop River State Park Trail is a Connecticut rail trail that winds for 20.8 miles (33.5 km) eastward from Colonial Drive in the town of Manchester to the Air Line State Park Trail S. in the town of Windham.
The Hop River's marshy source is just southeast of Bolton Notch, Connecticut. It flows for about 15.0 miles (24.1 km) to its confluence with the Willimantic River . [ 1 ] There is a popular paddling route beginning where the Skungamaug River enters the Hop River just north of the Hendee Road bridge and ending at the Willimantic River .

At this point, Hop River State Park Trail passes under both sides of the freeway. Soon after, the westbound lane also curves, and the two sides of the freeway soon become parallel again. The freeway then passes over Flanders River Road about 0.25 miles (0.40 km) east. The freeway then crosses the Willimantic River and enters the town of Windham.
There are many bike paths in the county. The major two trails are the Air Line State Park Trail and the Hop River State Park Trail, both these trails enter the county through Windham. The Hop River Trail ends at the Air Line Trail shortly after entering the county, while the Air Line Trail continues all the way into Putnam.
