Here's some more giveaways of control company usage (from my experience using the mod copied from a different comment i made) some easy signs of control company usage include: spontaneous spawning and depsawning of enemies and enemies spawning in places they shouldn't be able to reach (such as on the top of the ship)
The only real solution when without a specific mod to differentiate lobbies is just adding the [MODDED] prefix on the host-side. Mod makers don't want to turn player lobbies in something like "[MOD] [CC] [BC] [MC] [LE] [EA] Titan onl" (and then the rest of the lobby name gets cut off by the caracter limit)
Turns out the game host has been using a mod called Lethal Control to spawn enemies in the ship to kill us last minute, spawn in the lasso man, and do other generally messed up things. This fact sucked all the fun out of the game and those moments for me.
It says "only host needs the mod" but in reality its only the host is ABLE to use the mod. i made my friend install it and it said "you need to be the host to play using functional control company." hopefully you add this in future updates! Cause seriously. still having LOTS of fun. only 1 friend knows about it.

i used to use it untill the mod started showing people the servers that have control company. i didnt use it to grief like some people or cheat like others but i played by the rules of the entity and made sure it never really affected the gameplay very significantly. i usually just turn on ai mode when im chasing someone too.
This is good for Control Company and gameplay affecting mods like Mimics, as I believe mimics will just crash your game if you try to enter a lobby without having it installed. Having it check would stop this from happening because you wouldn't be able to attempt to join with missing assets or files.
quick question. recently we started using control company but that destroyed the organization of who will create the lobby, it sucks, theres some way to multiple people use the mod without being the host? just so everyone be happy

For the past few days, I've been working on a mod called Control Company Detector. It's given me a lot of trouble and headache, but I'm glad to be able to say that I feel it is in a good enough state to be released to the public. As the name implies, this mod gives the user an in-game warning if it detects the host of a lobby using Control Company.
