The 19th Century Scottish minister, Robert Murray M’Cheyne, (sometimes spelled McCheyne) who lived from 1813-1843, prepared a plan for Bible reading to take readers through the New Testament and Psalms twice a year, and through the rest of the Bible once each year.

M’Cheyne compiled a calendar for his people for reading through the Bible once every year. We must be driven more to our Bibles, and to the mercy-seat, if we are to stand in the evil day, he explained. The calendar contains a center column proceeding by the day of the month.
This Bible reading plan will take you through the entire Bible in a year, reading the Old Testament once, and the New Testament and Psalms twice. Each Day you will read from the Old and New Testament.
