Bud Neill's legacy: Lobey Dosser and Rank Bajin, astride Elfie, the only two legged horse in The West. William "Bud" Neill (5 November 1911–28 August 1970 [1]) was a Scottish cartoonist who drew cartoon strips for a number of Glasgow-based newspapers between the 1940s and 1960s.

John Alexander Scott Coutts (9 December 1902 – 5 August 1962), better known by the pseudonym John Willie, was an artist, fetish photographer, cartoonist, and the publisher and editor of the first 23 issues of the fetish magazine Bizarre between 1946 and 1956, featuring his characters Sweet Gwendoline and Sir Dystic d'Arcy.
His first collection of cartoons, Angels on Horseback, was published in 1957. [ 3 ] Known to many only as "Thelwell", he found his true comic niche with Pony Club girls and their comic ponies, a subject for which he became best-known, and which led to a cartoon strip about such a pair, Penelope and Kipper .

Kewpie is a brand of dolls and figurines that were conceived as comic strip characters by cartoonist Rose O'Neill.The illustrated cartoons, appearing as baby cupid characters, began to gain popularity after the publication of O'Neill's comic strips in 1909, and O'Neill began to illustrate and sell paper doll versions of the Kewpies.
