In a world where most of the population is gifted with special powers known as "Quirks", Izuku Midoriya is a young boy who always dreamed of becoming a hero, despite not having a Quirk himself, until one day he is attacked by a villain made of sludge and is rescued by none other than All Might, the best hero in the world and his idol since childhood.
Izuku Midoriya, the current wielder of One for All, meets Mahoro Shimano and her younger brother Katsuma, residents of the island. Despite some hostility from the sister, Izuku bonds with them along with his rival Katsuki Bakugo , and discover that Katsuma wishes to become a hero, although Mahoro seeks to dissuade him, fearing for his safety.
Uraraka then grabs the megaphone and floats on top of U.A., giving a speech pleading to the civilians to let Izuku rest because Heroes deserved to be saved too. As a result, the civilians start to see how battered and tired Izuku is and by the end of her speech, Izuku breaks down on his knees in tears.
