Grand Declaration of War is the second full-length studio album by the Norwegian black metal band Mayhem, released by Season of Mist and Necropolis Records on 6 June 2000. [3] A re-release of the album came out in December 2018, with Jaime Gomez Arellano overseeing the production.
Despite being a black metal album, it notably features some death metal influences, including the use of grunting vocals. It also has the distinction of being the first Mayhem album with lyrics written by Attila Csihar. Ordo Ad Chao was released on 23 April 2007. It charted at #12 in Norway, making it the band's highest-charting album yet.
