U.S. Route 10 or U.S. Highway 10 (US 10) is an east–west United States Numbered Highway located in the Midwest and Great Lakes regions of the U.S. Despite the "0" as the last digit in the number, US 10 is no longer a cross-country highway, and it never was a full coast-to-coast route.
It was altered further in 1927 in order to accommodate numbers in the United States Numbered Highway System. [citation needed] In 1935 the Ohio General Assembly passed a law which added 5,000 miles of roads to the state highway system over a 12-month period. [6] [7] These roads were assigned route numbers in the 500s, 600s, and 700s. [8]
At its previous eastern terminus at Ontario Avenue, SR 10 turns east and follows Ontario and Orange Avenues (US 422, SR 8, SR 14, SR 43, SR 87) east, turns southeast along a small part of I-77 (Willow Freeway), then exits at the interchange with I-490 (Troy Lee James Highway) heading east along the Opportunity Corridor and north along 105th Street.
