The Grassy Creek Bridge is a concrete dual-span bridge in Breaks, Virginia, United States. Opened in 2020, the bridge carries Corridor Q (Virginia State Route 460) across Grassy Creek, a tributary of the Russell Fork and is located immediately southeast of the Kentucky border. It is the tallest and highest bridge in the state.
The bridge was built in 1911 by an unknown builder, and is one of about 60 Pratt truss bridges in the state. [2] The bridge was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988, and was delisted in 2022. [1] According to Bridgehunter.com, it was moved to facilitate a new bridge over Osage Creek in 2014 and scrapped in 2015. [3]
The remaining timbers were given to the City of Myrtle Creek in 1990 for a covered bridge over Myrtle Creek. The bridge connects a parking area to the city's Mill Site Park. Plunketts Creek Bridge No. 3 was a rubble masonry stone arch bridge over Plunketts Creek in Plunketts Creek Township, Lycoming County in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania. It was built between 1840 and 1875, probably closer to 1840, when the road along the creek between the unincorporated villages of Barbours and Proctor was constructed.
