The Life and Death of the Radical Historical Jesus is a 2013 book by David Burns published by Oxford University Press.It is a cultural and intellectual history of Jesus as envisioned by various left-wing radicals in the United States from the mid-nineteenth century to World War I. Burns's father was a Lutheran minister. [3]Burns received his B.A. from Amherst College in 1964 and his M.D. from the Stanford University School of Medicine in 1970.
