The recent rise of College of Charleston's baseball program has led to many close games and strong attendance both at Riley Park and at CofC Baseball Stadium at Patriot's Point. The Citadel Bulldogs baseball team represents The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina and is a member of the Southern Conference of the NCAA Division I. The team played its first season in 1899, but complete records were not kept until after the ACC split prior to the 1954 season.

The Bulldogs compete in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I. The Citadel did not begin keeping complete records for its baseball program until 1954, after seven schools left the SoCon to form the Atlantic Coast Conference. Known records for full seasons are listed below. Partial season records are not included.
The Southern Conference first held a baseball tournament in 1950. [2] Maryland and Virginia Tech from the North division, and Clemson and Wake Forest from the South played the inaugural year in Greensboro, North Carolina , [ 3 ] with Wake Forest defeating Maryland for the title.
