Tolland County (/ ˈ t ɑː l ə n d / TAH-lənd) is a county in the northeastern part of the U.S. state of Connecticut.As of the 2020 census, its population was 149,788. [1] It is incorporated into 13 towns and was originally formed on October 13, 1785, from portions of eastern Hartford County and western Windham County.

The Capitol Planning Region is a planning region and county-equivalent in Connecticut. It is served by the coterminous Capitol Region Council of Governments (CRCOG). In 2022, planning regions were approved to replace Connecticut's counties as county-equivalents for statistical purposes, with full implementation occurring by 2024. [1] [2]
Connecticut's 55th House of Representatives district elects one member of the Connecticut House of Representatives. It consists of the towns of Andover , Bolton , Hebron , and Marlborough . It has been represented by Republican Steve Weir since 2022.
