Dame Jacinda Kate Laurell Ardern GNZM (/ dʒ ə ˈ s ɪ n d ə ɑːr ˈ d ɜːr n / jə-SIN-də ar-DURN; [1] born 26 July 1980) is a New Zealand politician who served as the 40th Prime Minister of New Zealand and leader of the Labour Party from 2017 to 2023.
