Almost all other guitars have at least some curvature. However, some recent five and six string electric basses have flat fingerboards. For guitars, some players feel that smaller radii (7.25–10") are more comfortable for chord and rhythm playing, while larger radii (12"-16" and up to flat) are better for fast soloing.
