Show is a live album released in 1993 by the British alternative rock band the Cure. It was recorded live over two nights at The Palace of Auburn Hills , Auburn Hills, Michigan (a suburb of Detroit ) in 1992, during the successful Wish tour.
Formed in 1976, [1] [2] [3] the Cure grew out of a band known as Malice. Malice formed in January 1976 and underwent several line-up changes and a name change to Easy Cure [4] before The Cure was founded in May 1978. The vinyl edition is a collection of all 13 of the Cure's commercially released singles up to that point in chronological order. "10:15 Saturday Night" was dropped though, possibly because it was only released in France. The CD edition features the same tracks as the vinyl edition, but also includes an extra track from four of the band's albums.
A further US bioplastic vinyl was released on Capitol records. There were also a cassette edition and a double cassette. A further "blood red moon" vinyl edition was released – a line taken from "Endsong" – featuring a red hue to the regular artwork and including the regular songs plus their instrumental counterparts.

The album helped bring the Cure into the American mainstream, becoming the band's first album to reach the top 40 of the Billboard 200 chart and achieving platinum certification. Like its predecessor, The Head on the Door , it was also a great international success, reaching the top 10 in numerous countries.

The new edition featured "Carnage Visors", demos and live tracks as well as the non-album single "Charlotte Sometimes". It also included a few never-before-released tracks (in demo form, all instrumentals). In 2021, a 40th anniversary vinyl picture disc was released for Record Store Day. [8]
