Prachya Pinkaew (Thai: ปรัชญา ปิ่นแก้ว; RTGS: Pratya Pinkaeo; born September 2, 1962) is a Thai film director, film producer and screenwriter. His films include Ong-Bak: Muay Thai Warrior and Tom-Yum-Goong , both martial arts films starring Tony Jaa .
The star of Chocolate, Yanin Vismitananda, was discovered by director Prachya Pinkaew in 2003 when the director was working on casting sessions for Panna Rittikrai's directorial effort, Born to Fight. [1] Already experienced in taekwondo, Yanin underwent more training with Panna Rittikrai's stunt team.

Tom-Yum-Goong (Thai: ต้มยำกุ้ง, IPA: [tôm jam kûŋ]) is a 2005 Thai martial arts film directed by Prachya Pinkaew and stars Tony Jaa in the lead role. Pinkaew also directed Jaa's prior breakout film Ong-Bak. As with Ong-Bak, the fights were choreographed by Jaa and his mentor Panna Rittikrai.
