Founded in 1968, Radio Fórmula programs are broadcast on more than 100 stations in Mexico as well as several stations in the United States. It is the flagship product of Grupo Fórmula, which also owns the TeleFórmula pay TV network (itself made up of Radio Fórmula video simulcasts), and PM Onstreet, an outdoor advertising firm.
103.3 FM got its start as XERPM-FM, a station owned by Radio Programas de México and put on air in 1957. The initial programming on XERPM was music, mainly of the rock 'n' roll variety, and by 1976 had been turned into a classical music station, but in 1978, after its acquisition by Grupo Radio Fórmula, XERPM became Disco Radio FM with a disco format.

XEMON-AM received its concession on November 29, 1988. It was owned by Radio Color, S.A., a subsidiary of Radiorama, and was sold to Radio Fórmula in the person of Rogerio Mariano Azcárraga Madero in 1997. In April 2018, XEMON-AM conducted its second-wave migration to FM as XHMON-FM 89.3.
