The Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), commonly known as the Pusa Institute, [2] is India's national institute for agricultural research, education and extension. Nagendra Kumar Singh (born 15 October 1958) is an Indian agricultural scientist. He is presently a National Professor Dr. B.P. Pal Chair and JC Bose National Fellow at ICAR-National Institute for Plant Biotechnology, Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi.
In 1987, he was promoted as the Deputy Director General of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research from where he retired in 1996. [3] In 1997, he was selected as the ICAR National Professor, [6] a post he held till 2001 and is an adjunct professor of the Indian Agricultural Research Institute ever since. [3]
