Banff and Buchan is a committee area of the Aberdeenshire Council, Scotland, covering an area along the northern coast of the council area. The main towns are Banff and Fraserburgh . Fishing and agriculture are important industries, together with associated processing and service activity.
The Holyrood constituency covered a northern portion of the Aberdeenshire council area. The rest of the Aberdeenshire area is covered by two other constituencies, both also in the North East Scotland electoral region: Gordon was the constituency to the south of the Banff and Buchan constituency, and the former West Aberdeenshire and Kincardine was further south.
