Sunset Beach is an urban beach park on English Bay situated in the West End neighbourhood of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.It is part of the city seawall system and is bisected by a multi-use path for bicycling, walking, and skating that connects to the adjacent Vancouver Aquatic Centre and Burrard Street Bridge.
The Vancouver Aquatics Centre is an indoor facility. [1] It replaces the Crystal Pool at Sunset Beach that was opened in 1928 and was demolished in 1974. [2] A contract to renew the facility was let in 2023 and the project is expected to take seven years to complete. [3]
English Bay Beach, near the city's West End residential neighbourhood, is a popular sunbathing, swimming, and sunset-watching beach in the downtown Vancouver area. Other downtown beaches facing English Bay include Sunset Beach, Second Beach, and Third Beach.
